Prosecutors find over 100 breaches in Sakhalin-II

At least 100 violations of the environmental, migration and labor laws have been discovered in the Sakhalin-II energy project, local prosecutors said Wednesday.
Sakhalin-II run by British-Dutch Royal Dutch/Shell has been under scrutiny since Russia's Natural Resources Ministry canceled its own 2003 approval of the project in mid-September.

Sakhalin, North Korea to cooperate in forestry, fisheries

Russia's Sakhalin region and North Korea have agreed on cooperation in forestry, fisheries, agriculture and construction.
North Korea's wood-cutters will fell 70,000 cubic meters of round timber on Sakhalin annually, its farmers will grow vegetables in hothouses, while a North Korean company will engage in fish processing on the Russian island.

Sakhalin gas: ONGC may opt for direct marketing

ONGC is considering various options, including direct marketing or swap for gas from Sakhalin fields in Russia.
