UK ambassador: Attacks on Sakhalin Energy may harm Russia’s reputation

Kremlin official: Sakhalin Energy needs another tax regime

The Kremlin's chief adviser said Wednesday that oil and gas producer Sakhalin Energy should switch to the normal taxation regime from the regime stipulated by its production sharing agreement (PSA) if it wanted to increase its spending plan.

Rosneft denies talking to ONGC on Sakhalin-1 stake

Russia's Rosneft denied a newspaper report on Wednesday it was in talks to buy ONGC out of the Exxon Mobil-led Sakhalin-1 oil field to help the Kremlin regain state control of the huge project.
