Sovcomflot Links to Port De Kastri

JSC Sovcomflot committed the shipments of hydrocarbon fuel, produced at Sakhalin shelf, reports Kommersant.

2 November giant tanker "Viktor Konetsky" began loading of oil at the port of De Kastri in Khabarovsky region, which commenced the productions of hydrocarbons in the Okhotskoye Sea Chaivo oilfield from the middle of October.

The oil is shipped to De Katri via 220 km pipeline. The "Sakhalin-1" production is made with the help of coastal equipment "Yasterba" and oil platform "Orlan". The operator of the project is the American Exxon Neftegaz. The Okhotskoye Sea shelf oil production started in 1999, the "Sakhalin-2" hydrocarbon shipments were made by oil production complex "Vityaz'". Oil was shipped by Primorsk Shipping Company tonnage and some other foreign carriers. "Sakhalin-1" oil will be carried vy Russian shipping companies only.

16 October at De Kastri first loader was PRISCO's tanker "Viktor Titov", now the Sovcomflot tankers are to handle the shipments from this port. The shipping companies ordered five Suezmax tankers for Sakhalin-1 project and Exxon chartered them for 10 years. De Kastri shipments will make approximately 12,5 mln. metric tons of oil annualy during 40 years.
